The second edition of the Ukrainian cooperative strategy board game for leaders and change managers in the social simulation genre. The gameplay mechanics are as close to real life as possible, and victory in the game can only be achieved through cooperation and interaction.
The game was conceived and developed as a tool for automating learning (including self-learning) for people who care about the communities in which they live. It is a response to the standard and uninspiring approaches to community development and the implementation of reforms.
The release debuted in February 2018.
The second release of the tabletop training game “World of Communities” was launched in the coopetition genre (a strategy of interaction that balances competition and leads to collaboration among competitors, resulting in benefits for all participants).
The name of the release was coined during the testing of the game”World of Communities” with entrepreneurs and business owners at the annual "Open Business Space" meeting, focused on the theme of balancing cooperation and competition in business.
This release introduced individual goal cards, making it possible for a player to win or lose independently. Thus, all players are competitors who cannot win without cooperating with each other. Anti-corruption restrictions for the mayor were implemented, and the Community Fund was introduced as a tool for resource mobilization and community needs funding. The game also adjusted the gender balance—each role now has both a female and male counterpart.
