Government Simulations Game

World of Communities LLC organizes government game simulations using an approach that blends training with interactive simulations, designed to maximize impact and effectiveness.
Based on Edgar Dale's research on learning and retention, 90% of new material is absorbed through active participation.
We recognize that civic activists, entrepreneurs, youth, local authorities, and internally displaced persons each face unique experiences, needs, and challenges. As a result, our strategy is designed to address these key aspects.

  • ImmersionBy using game-based simulations, participants can experience real-life scenarios and learn how to navigate challenges, solve problems, and make both individual and collective decisions.

  • Interaction and CommunicationSimulations foster an environment where participants can interact and communicate, exchanging ideas, insights, and skills. This collaborative space helps build shared practices and encourages teamwork.

  • Practical SkillsOur strategy focuses on equipping participants with practical, real-world skills. Through simulations, they develop key abilities in management, decision-making, communication, and collaboration, specifically in the context of public life as defined by the event's theme.

  • Deeper UnderstandingManagement simulations offer participants a deeper understanding of the tools and principles involved. They can see firsthand the immediate consequences of their actions and decisions, helping to solidify learning and enhance strategic thinking.

The game immerses participants in realistic situations, guiding them to make decisions that take into account the interests and resources of different stakeholder groups.

Why does this approach work?

Game modeling fosters healthy competition among participants, motivating them to absorb new information more effectively.

The game environment is structured by clear rules, creating a sense of predictability and safety that encourages active participation.

Participants gain hands-on experience through both individual and group actions, allowing them to apply what they learn in real time.

Teamwork within the game brings out leadership qualities, as participants collaborate to solve problems and make decisions.

The emotional engagement that comes with the game experience lasts long after the event, making this approach one of the most effective ways to encourage learning, social interaction, and meaningful engagement.

Throughout the event, participants engage with one another both individually and as part of groups, actively applying negotiation skills, decision-making, coalition-building, and advocacy for their needs and goals. They also develop critical thinking, as well as tactical and strategic planning abilities.
This unique blend of game-based methods makes management simulations not only a source of vivid emotional experience, but also a dynamic workshop for exploring and creating effective models of behavior in local government development and broad citizen engagement
